Roger Federer wins against Britain No.1 in Indian Wells

Federer, five times a champion in the tournament in California, won comfortably against Kyle Edmond with 6-1, 6-4. Now he is in the quarter finals with a possible grand semi-final against Rafael Nadal.

Edmund started the game badly and until he managed to score a game , the result of the set was already 5-1 for Federer. The second set of the game was more competitive, but ultimately Federer continued his impressive form. For the time being , in the tournament Federer is yet to drop a set. This kind of form is surely making him a favourite to win his 101st major trophy.

Next for him in the quarter-finals is world number 64 Hubert Hurkacz, who won against Denis Shapalov with 7-6 (7-3), 2-6, 6-3.
